The lovely architecture of a Victorian home, complemented by Indian artifacts, presents diners with gracious surroundings. The able kitchen supplies great Indian cuisine, as it has done for more than a generation. This family-owned enterprise serves only the best foods, from tikka masala (tandoor-cooked chicken) to spice-coated prawns and duck breast in almond sauce. Vegetarians are also pleased by the extensive meatless offerings, including spiced okra and a medley of braised vegetables in yogurt-almond sauce. Homemade chutneys add an extra layer of flavor to the meal, and a great wine list includes vintages from several hundred years back.
